Avoid … not quantified contractors and very bad customer services . Sent someone in to unblock my kitchen sink. However the contractor broke my pipe by accident. He then put on a temp fix that had water dripped out of it. Aspect agreed later to fix it without charge however I got charged again without my authorization ! In total got charged 1000 pounds. Called customer service 6 times , every time promised it would be resolved and refunded but never got done and in the end tried to brushed you off when you call.

To avoid they said I am not their customer, I attached the second charge that was not authorized by me. (Yes they can take money from your account without you authorize it)

Dean did a great small plaster repair job for me in Wimbledon - 4 Feb. Very personable, efficient and hardworking. Job was booked quickly, visit was next day and job done in one hour. Kept up to date re timings etc by regular emails and texts. It's great to be able to get professionals for smaller jobs. Used recently for a roofing job and very reliable company.

Needed a spur for an inset electric fire ready for tenants moving in. Aspect were quick to arrange, and the fitter gave me an hours notice. Excellent Mark Awanah carried out the work efficiently within a reasonable time frame. Honest, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Would give 5 stars, but it was costly, however I needed it done urgently.

Extremely overpriced. They will round up the time to the nearest hour and charge you the full whack even for time they were not there. There is clearly no communication amongst the team as I kept repeatedly telling them day in and day out that the landlord was the person to contact for payment, yet they kept bothering me (the new tenant). They also charge over £100 for a 10 minute plumbing quote (again, they charge a full hour even if the guy is there for 10 minutes). Totally ridiculous, I would recommend any other company.

Drainage team charged £2,500, water still coming in, no apology

Requested a roofer/leak investigator for water ingress from a flat roof. Roofer was 5-stars.

Drainage team added to the call (two people) - needed to flush downpipe and check with a camera.

Asked the team and customer support for a ballpark figure for the job at lunchtime (not possible). Two hours later the initial estimate was £5,000 to fully line the pipe, and £4,000 for partial lining, which came as a big shock.

Drainage team charges were already over £1,000 for the investigation (time & materials, plus a "fixed charge" of £800 for the flush & camera). Therefore felt the job should be completed to avoid further water damage and additional callout costs.

Subsequently found water still entering the property at the bottom of the stack pipe, where the cap hadn't been closed properly. A lack of due diligence, and only discovered by accident.

On raising the questions of the ongoing water ingress and the additional fixed charge, customer support was offhand to say the least. I requested a response to the issues raised but none has been forthcoming.

The repair itself seems to have been done professionally.

Absolutely appalled by my experience with Aspect. They came out recently to diagnose a sewer gas smell coming from my downstairs toilet, and I can confidently say this was one of the most exploitative and overpriced services I have ever encountered.

To begin with, they charged over £700 just to “survey and diagnose” the issue—it was a 45-minute job at best that they claimed required 2.5 hours. This alone was almost as expensive as it would have been to actually fix the problem with a reputable local tradesperson.

The real insult came when they quoted over £3,000 to repair (not even replace!) the drain. At that point, it became crystal clear that this company is cleverly designed to extract as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers. Their pricing is outrageous, bordering on extortion, and completely unjustified for the level of work required.

This was my first and will certainly be my last experience with Aspect Maintenance. If you value your money, steer clear of this company and stick to reliable local tradesmen who won’t gouge you with absurd fees and inflated quotes.

Avoid at all costs.

I booked Aspect for leak detection on my heating system after clearly explaining the issue: a boiler with a pressure drop, 11 radiators, and an urgent need for an experienced engineer due to having small children at home. The booking agent assured me this was a routine job that would be resolved during the visit.

On 26 January 2025, an engineer arrived late, stayed for one hour, and then told me I needed a second engineer for a tracer gas test—something I was never informed of when booking. He did not complete the pressure test, did no meaningful work, and simply walked away, leaving me with no solution.

Yet, I was still charged £174 (including VAT) just for someone to show up at my door and tell me I needed another engineer!

When I raised a complaint, Aspect refused to refund me, claiming I could have declined the service—even though I had no idea that the engineer wouldn’t be able to complete the job. This lack of transparency and poor communication left me without heating or hot water, forcing me to hire another company at additional cost.

A total waste of money—poor service, misleading booking information, and an engineer who did absolutely nothing but still charged me full price. Avoid Aspect if you want honest, professional service.

The plumber allocated to fix a water supply problem to my toilet had no clue as to what he was doing. I have serious doubts he was a even a qualified plumber. He looked confused as to what the problem was and took no action to define the problem. In the end he suggested I replace the inlet assembly myself as “the company will charge a lot if I go a get the part and install it”
I felt I had no option but to send him on his way, having done nothing to resolve the issue.

In the end my son-in-law, a qualified gas engineer, looked at the problem and within 10 minutes identified a value was partially blocked, which was cleared and the toilet was working again.
The fiasco cost me £114, and needless to say I will never use Aspect again
