A company that still believes in aggressive selling. I would be very careful with these guys. If you are lucky enough to buy a half decent car don't bother with the extended warranty, they don't honour it. We have had to refer them to the car ombudsman. Gave so many reasons to not fix my car under warranty, and ended up referring me to a dodgy garage that blamed the driver for the fault. The garage charged a fortune to fix a problem that was not there. The car has an issue with an actuator but garage wanted the whole DPF system replaced. Took car for second opinion and got told it was a different issue. The dealership has no idea about cars that they sell either. Initially told me the problem was fixed, the problem would be fixed and a lot of deliberate attempts to avoid fixing the car. AVOID

Unfortunately I have had a terrible experience with Georgeson’s. I was sold a car that was faulty, and I reported it within 24 hours. They had my car back numerous times to fix the issue but never got to the bottom of it. The manufacturer was able to find the fault but Georgesons refused to pay to fix it, as the warranty only covers a certain amount. They didn’t take in to consideration that the car was sold to me as faulty. I’m going through a formal complaint process and will be retuning the faulty vehicle. But in the meantime, Georgesons have left me with no car as I am unable to drive it, and haven’t even been in touch with either myself or the garage where the car is to arrange next steps. I am not saying others will have the same experience, however, I would not choose to use them again, and nor would I recommend others to. I am sure this will open up a response from Georgeson’s directly but, as per the complaint I have raised, they are aware I have evidence to back up my statements.

Which they have now done. And simply cannot accept liability. Their response is full of errors. Yes, I did swear at one member of staff, once. And I immediately apologised several times and admitted there was no excuse for my behaviour. That is because, unlike Georgesons, I can admit when I am wrong. It is also extremely convenient they have responded to my negative, yet accurate review, but won’t respond to me in person. And I have photographic evidence to back up the fault was indeed present when I initially bought the vehicle, before I added miles. I would urge anybody who uses Georgeson’s to do so with caution and hesitation. Their warranty seems like a great purchase (and that’s what it was, a purchase as I wasn’t ’given’ it) however, they try and hide behind this rather than admitting they sold a vehicle that was faulty. A point they can’t argue against given I reported it, including pictures within 14 hours of collecting the car. Therefore, it is not contrary to my suggestion as it is, in fact, a factual statement. Of which I have proof. Some of the service I received was in fact good enough but sadly Jim left and I was left being spoken to in very condescending manor and was inconvenienced quite significantly by the person who took over, and the issue was sadly never resolved, despite me allowing far more opportunities than most people would have done. Finally, their point about looking at the vehicle in house doesn’t include the fact I have been told not to drive the car but that they also stated they didn’t offer recovery, which is fair enough, but I am not sure how I was meant to get the car to them given Father Christmas didn’t bring me a magic wand.

An excellent place to purchase a car resulting in a very satisfied customer.

I originally had an external finance broker that fell through, and so I thought I wouldn’t be able to get the car I wanted. Chris came to the rescue. Found me a great deal, and was very patient and understanding of the situation.
He organised a part exchange of my current vehicle, including the outstanding finance settlement, and offered a very good price considering the cosmetic damages present on my car.
I was also slightly skeptical that the new car had no current MOT when I checked the registration. However, I didn’t even get the chance to query this as it was tested a couple days before handover so I could get the most time out of it. The AA approved dealership promise makes sure that all cars sold have at least 6 months MOT, which is an excellent little touch.
After Chris got me an approval with a finance broker, I was able to drive my new car away the same day he called me with the finance details, and then the payment and paperwork was sorted!
The new car was thoroughly valeted, had that new car smell that still lasts a few weeks later, and was extra sparkly on the exterior.
I’m very grateful for the assistance Chris provided for me. Without his help, I wouldn’t be driving my current beauty.
Excluding the issues with the external finance broker I had, the whole process was the easiest and quickest I’ve ever had. I totally regret not sorting the finance through Georgsons in the first place.
I highly recommend taking your business here. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Brilliant service from Laura and the team at Georgesons, she was polite, professional and went out of her way to make the whole process of buying a car so easy. My wife and I travelled over an hour to buy the car and it was well worth the drive, I highly recommend them !
